TAXI Sound

History

TAXI Sound was founded in 2021 by Selecta Puli, as he wanted to build his own nano soundsystem from leftover materials. Selecta Sebő outta the Afro-Soul Sound gave him nuff plywood to build the boxes.

 In the meantime Selecta Reloka, Sista, Tegzes Norbert joined the crew, so they were ready to kick off, and play on an own soundsystem.

As times went by, Puli fulfilled his dreams and on a sunny spring day in 2023  the system was set up, the cables led from the amps to the scoops, and the first 7inch record was spinning on the turntable.

As part of the Dubapest Hifi Family Selecta Puli and the crew have been playin' a lots of shows alongside Selecta Jahfar's Sound.

During summer of 2023 TAXI Sound hosted two stages in two different Hungarian reggae festivals. End of June they set up the soundsystem at RootsForest, and in July they were invited to LB27 Reggae Camp to host the beach stage and test the scoops for 5 days. All the participating selectas were satisfied with the nanosound, and are more than happy to play pon the set up.

The massive had not to wait long for an own organised event. In November Puli invited his friends to spin vinyls to Ani Pub in his town Göd. TAXI Sound Winterparty was a real success and more party's could be awaited in 2024.

Radio activity 

The sound members have played on different radio stations during the years, representing TAXI Sound Selecta Puli is the co-founder of Hungarian Massive Foundation, which collective have their own shows on www.liberatedradio.com. Puli plays every Friday between 9-11 p.m. CET.
