 Egyik kedvenc, hanem a legnagyobb kedvenc albumom a Free Us Now , anno 10 inch verzióban is a polcon pihent, most pedig már cd-n hallgatom. Közel 50 perc conscious-roots reggae, egy olyan előadótól, akiről keveset hallunk.   Jah Rubbaal - Soundsystem tulajdonos 18 évesen A legjobb a cd-ben, hogy a belső borítón olvasható az előadó kivonatos életrajza. 1941-ben született és már nagyon korán kapcsolatba került a soundsystem - kultúrával. Miután elektronikai képzést kapott, ügyesen kiismerte magát a különböző trafók, és hangládák világában, így korán kapcsolatba került technikai személyzetként a kor legnagyobb soundsystemeivel. Dolgozott együtt Sir Coxsone-nal, Duke Reiddel, és Prince Busterrel.  For those who know the musical taste of Afro-Soul Sound that is obviously it can be described in two words: diverse and fusion. By fusion I mean combining mostly urban styles, in case on the same record it's even better . As for languages, almost anything can be played, there are no language barriers, even if we don't understand everything. For me (Sebő), German and English are obviously the main trends, although Spanish, French-Creole,South African Xhosa and even Senegalese hip-hop are also hidden on my shelf.   Hence German Unity Day is celebrated in Germany this week, i.e. on October 3, 1990, it was declared that FRZ and GDR would become one country again, so this week I will bring two CDs, neither of them typical German.   Akik ismerik az Afro-Soul Sound zenei ízlését, tudják, hogy két szóval lehetne leírni: szerteágazó, fúziós. Fúzió alatt a stílusok ötvözését értem, és ha ez egy lemezen történik akkor még jobb. Ami a nyelveket illeti, szinte bármi játszik nincsenek nyelvi akadályok, még akkor sem, ha nem mindent értünk. Nálam (Sebő) nyilván a német, az angol a fő irány, bár megbújik a polcon természetesen francia-kreol, de dél-afrikai xhosa, és szenegáli hip-hop is.  Mivel Németországban a héten ünneplik a Német Egység Napját, azaz 1990. október 3-án mondták ki, hogy az NSZK és NDK ismét egy országgá válik, ezért a héten két cd-t hozok, egyik sem jellegzetes német, hanem az egyre inkább elterjedő multikulti életérzés szép példáját vettem elő. I thought a lot about what the second CD I will review should be. Fortunately, a lots of  good releases are lined up on the shelves straight from Europe, the USA, Jamaica and probably even from Africa . Hence Friday (20.09.) was the 60th anniversary of Haile Selassie's visit to Hungary, I thought the most appropriate would be a roots album compiled by Trojan Records. Various Artists - Wicked A Go Feel It (1996, TROJAN) Total Play: 68:35 mins. The producers compiled mainly the best tunes of classic roots' second period. This period already brought a more mature sound to reggae, and in this era it can be felt that digital sound gained more and more space in Jamaican dancehalls, and early dancehall also spread its wings. Still, roots managed to remain a point of reference, obviously thanks to legends still alive at the time, such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and of course to the emerging generation, such as Sugar Minott.  Sokat morfondíroztam, hogy a második cd, amit ajánlok mi legyen. Szerencsére a polcon sorakoznak a jobbnál-jobb kiadványok Európából, az USA-ból, Jamaicából, és talán Afrikából is akad valami. Mivel pénteken (09.20) volt a 60. évfordulója, hogy Haile Selassie Magyarországra látogatott, úgy gondoltam a legmegfelelőbb mégis csak egy roots megjelenés lesz. Mégis a roots egy viszonyítási pont tudott maradni, nyilván ez az olyan akkor még élő legendáknak, mint Bob Marley, Peter Tosh is köszönhető, és természetesen a feltörekvő nemzedéknek, mint Sugar Minott.  A két nagy ikonnal szem...

  As you know, I am selling my vinyl collection. Roots, dub, steppers and the like I dealt for a mini-sound with my friend Puli, founder of Taxi Sound, and a good part of hip-hop/ragga vinyls landed at Busa P. The truth is that I could no longer fit them in the room, so I had to choose, and the CDs won. In most of my sets I play only CDs, sorry. Since I could not find many reggae cd groups on Facebook, I created one!   REGGAE CD on the RUN!   In this group, I try to make a review on one (probably two) reggae CDs per week, so it will be worth watching. The group is bilingual (English-Hungarian), it will be linked to this page, two posts are made at the same time, one in Hungarian, one in English, click on to which you would like.
